Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit Project:

Rail Track & Installation on Grade Level in the City

Construction of Elevated Structures for Addis Ababa, Light Railway Transit System

Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit, AALRT is the first light rail transit system in Eastern & Sub-Sahara Africa, featured two corridors alignment with a total of 31.6 Km stretch North-South and East-West of the Capital City of Ethiopia, East Africa.

MEEROL Inc. played a key role as a lead Sub-consultant firm in a Position of Resident Engineer and also entrusted with a position of Senior Architect supervision of the Project with the prime Consultant of the Swedish National Road Consulting AB (SweRoad) from Inception July 2012 to the successful Milestone of the project until October 2016.

DESIGN PROJECT FOR BUS RAPID TRANSIT / BRT, ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA, EAST AFRICA

Meerol Inc. is in charge of the design of both conceptual and detail design of a dedicated bus lane Pilot Project in the city for more than 11 Km stretch which includes the bus lane road alignment, passenger stations, bus depots and other maintanance facilities and also preparation of Tender and Bid documents jointly with the local Ethiopian consultant HAMDA Engineers Consulting Plc., Multi-D International of USA along with the lead consultant of SUEZ / SAFAGE of France.

NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT PROJECTS, New York, USA

Meerol Inc.’s founded by a principal of the company with years of experiences in the construction management and supervision of New re-modelling, rehabs of Major Elevated Structures and Sub-way systems of New York City.

  CANARSIE LINE, L-Line of Subway System, East New York

Existing LRT Structure, Canarsie Line, Atlantic Avenue Stn.

Atlantic Avenue Concrete Decking Removed and reconfigured with additional Steel Structure

Re-modelling Broadway East New York Station, with major concrete deck removal and remodel with new elevation of steel structures and also rehabilitation works on the existing steel girders top and bottom flanges and web of the built-up member structures stretched over three stations to New lots Avenue.

TIME SQUARE STATION COMPLEX RE-MODELLING PROJECT

Trackways Related work along Station Platform Rehabilitation, Time Square Station,

Setting Up and Install Sidewalk Glass Block Panels at Times Square between 7th Avenue & Broadway, from 41st Street to 42nd Streets.

As a Meerol Inc. principal and founder of Meerol Inc, major experience include a lead Supervision of the Civil & Structural Engineering of the re-modelling Project of Times Square and conducted successful inspection and monitoring of the station complex’s major works of the station platform, trackways related signal & communication works with complete renovation of Electrical Distribution Rooms / EDRs of both Normal and Reserves, Passageway expansions with state of the art installations of sidewalk and passageway wall glass panels around adjecent building of the station between 41st and 42nd streets.

The project includes entire time station mezzanine floors part and ramps and new stairway connections of IRT, IND and BRT sections of the subway train lines of New York City Transit.

The Project included two Phases involved SKANSKA USA and SHIVONIE as prime contractors with Bovis Lend Lease as the main contractor with Bovis Lend Lease a Prime Consultant of the Construction Manager.
